Garnet Ave, just off the I 10 FWY. Exit the I-10 at Indian Ave. and turn right (south) onto Indian Ave. Turn right at the first signal onto Garnet. There's a Wendy's truck stop on the NW corner and a Jack in the Box on the SW corner of Garnet. The BLM office is west on Garnet (by itself) on the north side of Garnet. Actually you can see it from the freeway, you just can't get to it without running the fast food gauntlet first. There's plenty of parking space, but there's also plenty of time to arrange carpools. Caravan to the Mission Creek location. Bring: Boots/shoes with lugs, lunch, water, layers. Camera, binoculars, botany lens, guidebooks, all the stuff of botanical geek status. Snow cancels but not rain, so don't overlook comfort items like something to sit & kneel on or hold over yourself.
