Anza Borrego Desert State Park. Explore this desert wonderland and the abundant wildflowers brought on by
fall rains. We will explore the Park and learn desert plants and wildflowers
at the best blooming spots. Bring lunch, comfortable shoes, sun protection,
water, camera, hand lens, field guides. Meet at 7:00 a.m. in
parking lot of the BLM office in North Palm Springs or at 9:00 a.m. in the parking lot of the Anza Borrego
Desert State Park Visitor Center. Take Interstate 10 east toward Palm
Springs; reach BLM office at Indian Ave. exit, turn west (left) on Garnet
Ave. To get to Anza Borrego, continue east on I-10; near Indio take Highway 86 south toward Brawley,
merge onto Highway 86-S. At Salton City take S22 (Borrego Salton Seaway) west
to Borrego Springs. From Borrego Springs enter roundabout and take 3rd exit onto Palm Canyon Dr.; follow the signs to the Visitor Center. Please contact Katie Barrows if you plan to attend or if

Nursery in San Juan Capistrano.

at www.treeoflifenursery.com. April 17, Sunday, 10:30 a.m. Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve. Explore the native grasslands, vernal pools, oak
woodlands, chaparral and riparian habitats of this reserve near Temecula. Our leader; Tom Chester,
is currently working on a
field guide to the flora of the reserve. Bring lunch, comfortable shoes, sun
protection, water, camera, hand lens, field guides. Don’t miss this one! Meet at 10:30 a.m. in of
the Reserve Visitor Center parking lot, 39400
Clinton Keith Road. From Interstate 215 south towards . A few miles before the 215
and I-15 merge above Murrieta and Temecula, exit Clinton Keith Road and turn west. Go several miles (passing over I-15) and up into the hills. Continue up the grade until you see the sign for the visitor center sign at the top of the hill. Pull in to the

Expo at UC Riverside. Spend
a morning, spend an afternoon, or the whole wonderful day in the CNPS booth
and schmooze the people who are drawn to the flowering native plants and the
books, posters and flyers that accompany our public outreach. Volunteers can
cruise the expo and soak up the spring sun, and go home with sore smile

the Cajalco Exit east from the I-15 freeway or west from the I-215 freeway.

south about 2 miles. you will pass through some of the riparian portions of
the park, look for the Park Keeper's office, A MOBILE HOME, on the left, with
