Our Chapter Website

By Rolf Muertter, webmaster

In case you haven't noticed yet, I've redesigned our website, www.enceliacnps.org, a few months ago, and I would like to introduce some of the new features. Let's start with the calendar. Upcoming events, such as field trips or meetings, are summarized here, and you can find out more by clicking on the link. Here you will also find event announcements that haven't made it into the newsletter. Speaking of the newsletter, you can read the current edition by clicking on the page links.

If you would like to share some of your favorite plant photos, submit them as jpeg files, and I will add them to the photo gallery. This could be your chance to be discovered! Remember to include your name, the date and location, and the species name, if you know it. If you don't, maybe someone else will recognize the species.

Check out the CNPS field trips page if you want to learn something about the local flora, or you've been on the field trip, and you don't remember the plant names, or you just want to know what a CNPS field trip is like.

Our native plants are so important that they make it into the news on a regular basis. To prove it, I've added the Native Plant News section. It's updated every two or three weeks. If you want to know more, go to the Links page, where you will find resources for planting native plants, plant photography, fire ecology, non-native invasive plants, and other native plant related sites.

If you think anything is missing, or have any suggestions, let me know at rolf@dslextreme.com. By the way, if you've been wondering about the name The Encelia, just click on the picture
